Winter Sweet Kabocha

A staff favorite! This hubbard squash variety has dense, orange flesh that makes for excellent soups and pies. With a slightly lower water content than other winter squash, Winter Sweet's flavor is sweeter, more concentrated and complex. As such, it is delicious enjoyed simply roasted and seasoned. This squash is one of the longest storing varieties, and is usually the last one standing in early spring.
