Winter Sweet Kabocha

A staff favorite! This hubbard squash variety has dense, orange flesh that makes for excellent soups, pies, and curries, or is great simply roasted. With a lower water content than other winter squash, Winter Sweet's texture is custardy, and its flavor is sweeter and more complex. This squash is one of the longest storing varieties, and is usually the last one standing in early spring.
